Prehnite is a calcium aluminum inosilicate. It was first described in 1788 for its occurrence in the Karoo dolerites of Cradock, Eastern Cape Province, South Africa. It was named after Colonel Hendrik Von Prehn. Prehnite helps us increase our efforts in the search for truth, wisdom and understanding.
